Wild Mushroom Foraging Tours on the Mornington Peninsula. Autumn/Winter 2020

Join Reade Smith, Lead forager with Reade’s Weeds on a beginners tour of a Mornington Peninsula Pine forest to learn how to identify the most common and tasty wild mushrooms, that will make your risotto the best you have ever made and more importantly which fungi you should avoid.

Guest foragers will also learn about some of the exotic and native edible weeds finding their way into the menus of many modern restaurants.

Guest foragers will then share some of the days harvest cooked on site.

We will nominate which pine forest close to the date to ensure there will be enough mushrooms for us to find. Don’t worry we will make sure it is easy to get to.

Don’t forget to bring a camera as we can find some interesting fungi.

Please bring a hat, raincoat, umbrella and waterproof shoes or gumboots and a spare pair of socks just in case it gets wet.
